The Challenge
Today’s business climate requires proficient and productive Bid Managers. This demand has driven the emergence of, “Accreditation” and “Competency based Assessment” to help organisations with their resource decisions. As a result, the APMP has launched the world’s first Professional Accreditation Programme for Proposal Management Professionals. The Professional Accreditation Programme uses a process of competency-based assessment, designed to be consistent and fair, world-wide.
The Solution
There are three levels of professional accreditation:
- APMP-Foundation level
- APMP-Practitioner level
- APMP-Professional level
Candidates’ competencies, at each level are tested by different means. At the Foundation level an on-line examination is used. We have developed a workshop for the foundation exam that has been assessed by the APMP and approved as meeting the standards required at this level.
The Workshop
The workshop provides individuals with the opportunity to learn and/or consolidate their existing knowledge in each of the proposal development key competency areas tested at this level:
- Information research and management
- Planning
- Development
- Management
- Sales orientation
By attending this course and sitting the examination you can achieve the APMP Foundation level of accreditation.
The Benefits
Professional accreditation enables organisations to achieve greater recognition for themselves as a reputable employer with a business agenda for excellence. Accreditation also provides formal recognition of the skill of individuals working in a bid environment outside their organisation and by peers in their profession.
