Shipley’s Customer Focused Writing with Graphics one day workshop,will help participants improve the effectiveness of their written communication, whether the media used is a proposal, presentation, e-mail message or letter. Working with partners The 24 Hour company, this course includes skills training in the use of graphics.This hands-on workshop is delivered using a mixture of lecture, group discussion and practical exercises.

Customer Focused Writing

Participants will learn a five-step writing process:

  • Plan: Determine objectives and develop content. 
  • Organise: Use Four-Box organisation structure.
  • Write: Construct a draft - to communicate persuasively, concisely and professionally.
  • Examine: Peer review the document to check for effectiveness.
  • Revise: Is it clear,concise and correct?

Participants will learn to use Shipley’s Four-box template to help structure their messages to align with the perspective of the reader.

 Visualise and better communicate your solutions

  • Make professional graphics that are clear, communicative, and compelling
  • Know what imagery, colours, fonts, and style to use (and why) 
  • Know where to go to find the right imagery at the right price 
  • Learn how proposals, presentations, marketing flyers, brochures, and any other business materials write themselves with effective visualisation
